Papa Boubou, France – Level 3

When I was younger one of my dreams was to be fluent in English, so I decided to go to London to improve my skills in the language I had been learning for 8 years on and off. I thought that things would be easy and that I could get by, but the reality was completely different.

Everything was alright until I got off the bus at Victoria station. I was relying on my Smartphone to translate simple questions to help me find the way to my homestay. However, the phone ran out of charge.

Just when I was thinking about what to do, I heard someone speaking French. What a relief! I explained my problem to him and then he told me how to buy an Oyster card and what line to take. He wished me good luck and went away.
