Tina, Vietnam – Level 3

Today I got good news. My closest friend announced that I was chosen to be one of twelve volunteers to take part in the 2017 Marine Turtle Conservation Programme in Con Dao National Park in Vietnam.

This programme is open for those interested in wildlife conservation. The objective is to enhance community awareness about the value and importance of sea turtles. This is achieved by creating an opportunity for the locals to be involved in research and volunteer training. We, the volunteers assist staff in marine turtle conservation.

To get this chance, I filled the volunteer form with all my heart. I wrote down my ideas about our environment. I have a positive outlook. I described my experiences after joining a wildlife protection event held by the Change organization last year. I also showed my hopefulness about visiting Con Dao Island, one of the thirteen mysterious islands all over the world.

Finally, I fulfilled my dream. How happy I was! I jumped for joy when I heard the good news..
